CARE International

CARE International is a humanitarian confederation that fights global poverty. It traces its start to 1945 and the CARE Package, and today it works through national members in many countries. A defining focus is partnership with women and girls, on the view that when they have resources they can strengthen families and communities.

The global organization coordinates emergency response and longer-term development while national CARE members, including CARE in the United States, carry out programs with local partners. Its public materials emphasize dignity and practical support rather than one-time relief alone.
