Environmental Defense Fund

The Environmental Defense Fund looks for practical environmental solutions that change markets, policy, and pollution at a large scale. Its work includes expanding clean energy, cutting methane, making transportation cleaner, growing food with less harm, protecting water and forests, and reducing risks to communities from chemicals and dirty air. The organization says it has spent nearly 60 years building those approaches.

EDF pairs science with advocacy and partnerships so solutions can be adopted, not only described. The public goal is environmental progress that people can feel in energy, food, and the places they live.
