Works to end poverty and injustice
About the Organization
Oxfam International is a confederation of organizations working with partners in more than 90 countries to end the injustices that cause poverty. Its public agenda includes inequality, water and sanitation, food and climate, conflict and disaster, gender justice, and emergency response. Campaigns ask governments and companies to change the rules that keep people poor.
Oxfam combines humanitarian response with longer advocacy. The confederation’s stated direction is a fairer distribution of power and resources, not only short-term aid after a crisis.
