About the Organization
Save the Children works in the United States and around the world so children can have a healthy start, the chance to learn, and protection from harm. It traces its founding to 1919, when Eglantyne Jebb organized help for children suffering after the First World War. Today the organization says it is often among the first to respond when crisis hits and among the last to leave.
Programs cover health, education, and emergency response. The public promise is that every child deserves a future, and that relief and longer support both belong in that promise.
