Sierra Club Foundation

The Sierra Club Foundation is a philanthropic organization that funds climate solutions, conservation, and movement building. It describes itself as the independent fiscal sponsor of the Sierra Club’s charitable environmental programs, which means it is a foundation partner rather than the membership club itself. Goals on its site include a shift to clean energy, protection of public lands and waters, getting more people outdoors, and building a broader environmental movement.

Grantmaking and investment campaigns, including work it calls Shifting Trillions, are how the foundation tries to move money and public action toward those goals.
