Teach For America

Teach For America recruits, develops, and supports people who teach in under-resourced schools and then stay engaged in education. It describes itself as a leadership organization whose corps members and alumni work toward a future in which every child can get an excellent education. The network includes tens of thousands of leaders who started in the classroom.

The immediate work is teaching and school partnership. The longer aim is a group of educators and advocates who keep pressing for students to have a relevant, engaging education and real choices about their futures.
