Children's rights and emergency aid
About the Organization
UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories to protect the rights of every child. Its programs cover child protection, education, health and immunization, nutrition, water and sanitation, and help during humanitarian emergencies. It also focuses on early childhood, disability, gender equality, and children who are migrants or refugees.
The organization combines direct support with policy work so children’s rights are recognized in both crises and everyday services. Its public mandate is universal: the location of a child should not decide whether those rights are real.
