About the Organization

World Wildlife Fund works to protect nature and the living systems people depend on. Since its founding in 1961, it has focused on wildlife, habitats, and the resources that sustain both. It describes a global reach across forests, rivers, wetlands, savannas, and other critical places, with offices in many countries.

WWF says it builds solutions with businesses, governments, scientists, and local partners, using science, policy, and finance as well as field conservation. The public case is that nature sustains human life, so protecting species and ecosystems is also a way of protecting people.
